A favourite at Alpha Modern, Robin Day was known for his playful designs and designed a range of bucket chairs for Hille furniture (UK) in the 1970s.
The tulip base is definitely the most coveted of all the designs, featuring Day’s iconic moulded plastic bucket seat upon a swivelling steel tulip base. This particular example presents in lovely vintage condition, having been freshly upholstered in a soft and luxurious teddy caramel bouclé.
