1970s SPACE AGE ITALIAN MOULDED FIBREGLASS SOFA
A fantastic piece, obtained from the National Art School in Sydney, this 1970s ‘Space Age’ fibreglass sofa is in the style of Massimo Vignelli’s ‘Saratoga’ sofa from 1964 and is produced in Italy from a single mould fibreglass shell.
Now featuring new upholstery in Wortley’s Domo range in the Tuscan colourway (a woven velvet) and a light refinish in white gelcoat the piece presents well however still maintains patina from age including some hairline cracking and imperfections.
A very rare and unique piece, ideal for a fun apartment or retail space.
